DISKLAVIER plus – World Premieres

Five young European composers have been commissioned to write a new work for disklavier and (live-) electronics:

Vito Zuraj, Lukas Wiegerink, Ville Raasakka, Steffen Krebber and Ji Youn Kang

After a workshop in spring (see video here), three world premieres will take place in September 2013 at Gaudeamus Muziekweek with the pieces by Ville Raasakka, Vito Zuraj and Ji Youn Kang.

In the cooperation organized with Royaumont Foundation in France and Festival Time of Music in Finland, other performances of the pieces are scheduled as follows :

Time of Music, Viitasaari (FI) – July 2014

Royaumont Foundation, (FR) – September 2015

The pieces by Steffen Krebber and Lukas Wiegerink will be premiered in August 2014 at the 47^th International Summer Course for New Music in Darmstadt (DE).
