San Fedele Academy for young composers 2012/2013
09/2013 San Fedele – IT
The six young composers finalists of the three-year San Fedele Prize will write an original musical work for 6 soloists and Ensemble (14 musicians) inspired by a literature’s masterpiece. From October till December 2012, the young composers will work together attending the master-classes of some important composers with the aim of reflecting on their new work.
Then, the young composers will write the score and rehearse their pieces in Vienna in May 2013 with the Ensemble KangForum Wien.
Electronic musical parts will be implemented by Ircam.

On 6th and 7th May 2013 a worskhop is held in Vienna with the musicians from Klangforum Wien, with the first rehearsal on the new works. Somes photos here :
Pieces will be presented several times at concerts in Milano (IT) and Graz (AT) in autumn 2013.
Concerts are scheduled as follows:
13th September 2013 Milano (Festival MiTo Settembre Musica) – World Premiere
4th October 2013 Graz (Festival Musikprotokoll)
The concert in Graz will be live-broadcasted on Austrian public radiostation Ö1.
The piece by Aurélien Dumont, including Live electronics, will be performed again at the occasion of Ircam’s Festival ManiFeste-2014 in June 2014 in Paris.
