Composition workshop for children and ensemble – World Premiere 2012

Commission and creation of two new compositions (by Daniele Ghisi and Federico Gardella) that will involve as performers, besides Divertimento Ensemble (9 musicians + conductor), a group of 20 children (8 years old). The two pieces have been performed during the Rondò Season 2012 in Milano on 10th June 2012.
The workshop “Giocare la musica” had a creative approach aiming to develop learning skills, sociability, coordination, improvisation and imitation – all this through amusement. The project aims both to encourage the creation of a repertoire fit for children and to propose to composers the possibility to engage with the expressive spontaneity of children.

The concert will be performed again in Brussels at Flagey on 3rd December 2013 with Ensemble Musiques Nouvelles.
