Composer Exchange Program Gaudeamus – Royaumont Foundation

Two young composers are exchanged between Gaudeamus Muziekweek and Voix Nouvelles Royaumont:
# Spanish composer Joan Magrané took part in the residency in Royaumont 2012; his resulting string quartet will now also be performed in Utrecht; Magrane can attend the whole festival Gaudeamus Muziekweek. His piece will be performed on 7th September by Trio Rodin.
# Turkish composer Mithatcan Öcal was programmed at Gaudeamus Muziekweek 2012 and is now taking part in the residency of Voix Nouvelles 2013.
He will write a piece for septet with voice (voice, clarinet, saxophone, trombone, percussion, piano, cello) – conducted, which will be presented in one of the two concerts at Royaumont Foundation on 14th September 2013.
